Glastonbury 2015 officially sold out in a record time of 26 minutes last weekend, with 150,000 tickets selling out before some even managed to log on to their computers. But, the biggest question now is, who will headline? We've taken a look at the possibilities.
Since this year's controversial headlining performance from Metallica, the gateway to more following the same trend has been opened.
The names that were being dotted around post Glastonbury 2014 were the likes of Oasis, Iron Maiden and ACDC. With these names still very much in the pot, Fleetwood Mac, Foo Fighters and Muse have all also been rumoured to be performing on the Pyramid next June.
But, who will it be? With 2015 being Oasis' 25th anniversary, rumours of a re-formation for a special Glastonbury set on the Pyramid in 2015 have been strong since their split. Both Gallagher brothers were spotted down Worthy Farm this year, possibly checking out what's to be expected next year? Who knows. Iron Maiden, ACDC and Fleetwood Mac on the other hand are all rumoured for the pure reason of their legendary statuses as bands and after not performing at a festival of the magnitude as Glastonbury for a short while, it wouldn't be too much of a surprise to see one or two of them at the top of the bill when the line-up's announced. Foo Fighters have also been a name that's been linked with the Pyramid over recent weeks, since their recent re-incarnation of playing a small number of initmate gigs in the UK last month as well as the Invictus Games closing ceremony in London, could Pilton be next? The final name being thrown around of late is the legendary Muse, possibly the biggest British band still together? Well, Matt Bellamy and co. haven't been to afraid to share the news of their latest studio habitation, sharing pictures and videos of the recording of their swiftly developing 7th studio album. It wouldn't be much of a surprise to see Muse showcase both their old and new material come June next year.
But still, we're none the wiser as to who will be headlining Glastonbury next year.
