This week's Track of the Week is the brilliant solo work of Arcade Fire multi-instrumentalist, Will Butler, with his debut track, 'Take My Side', taken from his forthcoming album, 'Policy'.
'Take My Side' has been met with a ruptious raw of applause from Arcade Fire fans who were eager to see what Will had in store following the announcment of his solo debut and it's no surprise as to why.
With a more mature 'Funeral' sounding track, 'Take My Side' expresses clear influences from the likes of the late Lou Reed, as Will makes a powerful statement to let us know that there's not only one Butler with a good voice. 'Take My Side' is a fantastic portrayal of Wills inner talent, exploding in an imagintion fuelled blessing of sound that sends all of whom listen into a Will Butler inspired dance, admit it, you know what one is and you know you've done one before. With it's repetitive, catchy tune playing throughout and Will's tension building vocals that rise and rise before flourishing into a frenzy of questions as the Canadian asks continously if you're gonna take his side. But, don't worry Will, we'll take your side. As, after this astounding debut, it is clear to see that 'Policy' will be one unmissable album of 2015.
