The One's To Watch in 2015

With 2014 almost becoming history and 2015 on the horizon, we thought we'd place our bets on who's going to cause a stir next year. There's been some lesser bands and artists we've grown to love over the past year and we believe 2015 will provide them with that big break they've all been striving for.

Let us begin with Johnny Lloyd, the former frontman of the much loved Camden band Tribes. Since their split, Johnny took some time out before returning to the scene with his much applauded debut track, 'Pilgrims'. Followed by the likes of 'Nowhere To Go', 'Happy Humans' and 'Oldest Man On Earth', Johnny earned himself a slot at Alexandre Palace beside Jamie T, performing to a sold out crowd in November. This then spread the news of Johnny's return much more rapidly, and following the success of his debut solo tour, we simply can't wait to see what he has in store next. Listen to Johnny via Youtube:

Up next are Brum band The Assist, a rythmn fuelled quartet that possess a sound that'll get anyone up on their feet. Garage rock n'roll with a quite Jamie T sounding execution, The Assist have become a hit with more than a few people, and having most recently supported the infamous Slade at their Christmas Party the year has appeared to end on a bright note for the quartet. With a new year on the horizon, as stated in their self titled debut track, we believe that The Assist will well and truly take over. Listen to The Assist via Youtube:

Following The Assist are the Ming City Rockers of Immingham. As their name suggests, they're rockers and pretty blummin' good ones at that. Their alternative style to punk rock n'roll has gone down rather well with many, including the likes of Palma Violets who they've become a common support for in the past year. Their melodically engineered 11 track racket of a debut album earned the Mings even more plaudits, and with the NME and Q also on board there's no getting away from the fact that Ming City Rockers are gonna blow the roof off 2015. Up next are Grimsby garage rock n'rollers The Brookes, a band we've heavily featured over the past year. Maturing their sound throughout 2014, the Libertines and Oasis inspired quartet have gone from strengh to strength and with their fanbase forever growing, that bright future we've predicted for a while is becoming ever more so present. With their next single, 'Lucy' to follow their much applauded 'Masquerade' EP in the near future, you have to think that 2015 is gonna take off for The Brookes. Listen to The Brookes via Youtube:

Finally are the Glaswegian Arctic Monkeys who go by the name of Jim Valentine. Gritty rock n'roll with a swarve style has seen the Jim's debut two singles, 'Make You Mine' and 'Hello' go down a storm and with hopefully more to come rather soon, we believe 2015 is the year Jim Valentine are going to go not only nationwide but global. With a sound as powerful as theirs, it can't be long at all before they're on a main stage somewhere. Listen to Jim Valentine via Youtube:
