Alt-J - O2 Arena - 24th January:

Alt-J will have just started their worldwide tour when they visit the O2 Arena in Greenwich, London. The band will be performing the O2 on the 24th of January, with face value ticket prices ranging from £23 to £29.60. The tour will give the much credited three piece a chance to perform their highly successful second album ‘This Is All Yours’, of which includes the singles ‘Hunger of The Pine’, ’Left Hand Free’, and ‘Every Other Freckle’. The album reached number one in the UK’s Official Album Chart on 28th September 2014, just 6 days after its release. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - O2 Arena - 10th March:

It'll be another huge gig at the O2 for sure when Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds arrive in London on the 10th of March. It'll be the first time Noel will be able to showcase his new material and expectancy is high. The Birds' forthcoming tour will feature their to be released second studio album ‘Chasing Yesterday’. The release of 'In The Heat Of The Moment' and 'Do The Damage' has seen promise grow for Noel's second release since the split of Oasis in 2009, and 3 years since he last hit the road. Ticket prices for Noel’s O2 gig range from £40-60. Noel will be opened for by Black Rivers who will be also be supporting on the majority of the tour.

Royal Blood - O2 Academy Brixton - 13th March:

Riff-ridden Royal Blood took 2014 by storm with support slots alongside the Arctic Monkeys as well as incredibly hyped festival performances. The success they gained last year was due to a combination of the powerful live prowess and their pitch perfect studio sound, their self titled debut album took the UK by storm debuting at number 1 in the Official Album Chart and was the fastest selling rock album for 3 years. The album received many positive reviews and was credited widely by fellow artists. Royal Blood will be supported by LA band Mini Mansions, of whom were part-founded by Queens of the Stone Age bassist Michael Shuman. I first saw Royal Blood at Finsbury Park with AM and with Mike Kerr’s mind blowing bass guitar and Ben Thatcher’s ear piercing drums mosh-pits began to form almost instantaneously. They started to turns heads and it was clear AM’s Matt Helders had found a new love. Their Reading and Leeds performances were even better, packing out the NME tent and playing faultless sets at both Bramham Park and Richfield Avenue. I'm almost certain that when I see them for the third time at Brixton, they will be better than ever.

During this period they will play out their 8th studio release 'Turn Blue', featuring the singles ‘Fever’ and the title track ‘Turn Blue’, as well as classics from their previous seven albums. 'Turn Blue' peaked at 2nd in the Official Album Char and it will not be the first tour of the album. The duo embarked on a World tour last year, setting off in May of 2014. Catfish and the Bottlemen - O2 Shepard's Bush Empire - 31st March & 1st April:

Finally, another breakthrough act of last year who stormed to fame via the release of their highly anticipated debut album ‘The Balcony’ and played out multiple rip-roaring festival sets. The Llandundo quartet fronted by Van McCann peaked at number 10 in the Official Album Chart and earned rather positive reviews for their October and November tour, playing a series of a smaller venues such as KOKO in London and the Plug in Sheffield. The tour proved a success with sell out gigs up and down the country, and now with the four piece set to embark on a much larger tour of the UK this year, things are looking rather good for the BBC Introducing Act Of 2014. They currently only have 5 gigs out of their forthcoming 12 with limited tickets still available through their website. Catfish will also be touring with The Kooks in Australia during January and I'm more than sure that Australia will love the band as much as we do.
