Track of the Week #32 - The Wytches - Burn Out The Bruise

This weeks 'Track of the Week' is the latest release from Southcoast trio, The Wytches.

The Brighton based three-piece began to make a name for themselves last year after their overwhelmingly gloomy, goth-surf punk sound caught the attention of listeners.

Most recent single “Burn Out The Bruise”, from their debut album “Annabel Dream Reader”, is an embodiment of this unusual musical combination and finds darkness in the form of murky bass lines, psychedelic guitar tones and hollering vocals. The track begins as it means to continue, feedback ridden anarchy before a serrated bass line trudges through the verse. The chorus is a combination of the previous and the cracking vocals of frontman Kristian Bell offers the sadistic, fucked up cherry that lies on top of the cake of this song.

This track is not for the faint hearted.
