We chatted with Isle of Wight trio Dreemers this week. The three-piece alternative outfit are looking set to have a bright future, with tracks such as 'A Week, A Month, A Year' and 'My Future's Yesterday' earning themselves more than a few plaudits.
1. Who are Dreemers?
We are a three-piece Alternative band from the Isle Of Wight. Marc - Vocals/Guitar, Nathan - Drums and Jordan - Bass.
2. Who are your biggest musical inspirations?
The 70's has always been our preferred decade for Inspiration. There is such a wide range of genres to listen to - punk and new wave being our favourites. So I guess Buzzcocks and The Clash would be up there with some our main influences amongst some other modern artists.
3. How would you describe your sound?
Our sound is energetic, raw and simple - but effective. We wanted a certain feeling of nostalgia in our music, so we merged it with a more modern alternative vibe, a combination that everyone can relate to.
4. Where do you see yourselves in 5 years time?
Hopefully we will be on our third or fourth album by then and Touring around the world, But who knows right?
5. What's next for Dreemers?
We are currently in the recording process of our debut single, 'True Love', which we hope to release around February/March time with a gig to accompany it. So keep an eye out for Dreemers in the future.
Huge thanks to Dreemers for the interview.
