We caught up with Suffolk outfit Frett this week. The duo who best describe their sound as 'electronically infused indie' have just released the video to their new track, 'Silent Alarm', and this is what they had to say about it.
1. Who are Frett?
Frett are Simon and Elliott from Suffolk.
2. How would you describe your sound?
Electronically infused indie.
3. You've recently released the video for your new track, 'Silent Alarm', tell us a little about this?
We wrote the track some time ago, we've been playing it live for a while now. I should probably point out at this point (because its been mentioned in a lot of reviews) that we didn't intentionally release it on the anniversary of the first Bloc Party album... happy coincidence. For the video we employed the talents of Harvey Pearson for the video. He's got an awesome style and some amazing ideas, such a talented guy. We pretty much sent him the track and let him loose! Hopefully we'll get the chance to work with him again very soon. 4. Where do you see yourselves in 5 years time?
Well... in 5 years time... somewhere in the forefront of my completely over enthusiastic dreams. I would like to have just got back from an awesome tour supporting Radiohead and have just started work on our second album after the success of our first. Alternatively because that is completely over the top, signed to a good label about to set out on a grand headline tour. 5. What's next for Frett?
We're currently working on new material, and are hoping to release a few new singles over the coming months.
