We caught up with Liverpool based quartet Bandito Rey this week. The four-piece, inspired by the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club and Radiohead are set to release their new single in the future months, following up their debut releases 'Come on Baby' and 'Laag'. Introducing... Bandito Rey.
1. Who are Bandito Rey?
Ioan Llewelyn - Vocals
Davy Murphy - Guitar
Jams Ward - Drums
David Copley - Bass
2. Who are your biggest musical influences?
Our main influences consist of Super Furry Animals, Bombay Bicycle Club, Nick Cave, The Beach Boys and Radiohead though we're also in to a bit of classical stuff.
3. Where do you see yourselves in five years time?
In five years time, we see ourselves with at least two albums under out belts. But more importantly, we are going to be releasing singles from here on in to get us there. Obviously there's going to be some touring ahead, which is something were looking forward to - playing to as many people as possible.
4. What's next for Bandito Rey?
We're working on new material right now, as well as our new single. Trying to decide one to use is always a problem with the four of us.
5. Where can we hear more from you?
You can hear our new single around May/June time, but for now you can Follow us on Twitter here: @banditorey1
