With Reverend and The Makers headlining the Bombed Out Church stage, this one day festival looks as if it’s going to set the city alight in July. Although the full line up has yet to be finalised, the acts already confirmed make this a must-attend event on the city festival calendar.
Always popular, the whole day sees an array of eclectic music ensuring that most musical tastes are catered for. The Bombed Out Church has seen some memorable closing acts, but Reverend and the Makers must be one of the best the organisers have ever secured, bringing the festival kudos and respect in the musical community.
Complementing the open space venue of St Luke’s church, venues such as The Magnet, Maguires and Studio 2 are all hosting both local and national bands of the highest level. The inclusion of venues, rather than relying purely on the weather dependent open space stage, gives scope and variety to the festival as a whole. Not that the weather has ever really deterred the punters in St Luke’s, but it gives the faint hearted or underdressed shelter to watch soma of the quality acts on offer.
With a line-up that includes bands such as Allusondrugs, Falls, Dexters, The Sherlocks, Beans on Toast, The Jackobins, Vynce, Creeps, Emilio Largo and Go Fiasco, Summer in the city is going to sizzle.
