Palma Violets followed up 'Danger In The Club' in spectacular fashion this week with the release of 'English Tongue', the second single taken from their forthcoming new album.
It's another explosive, riotous and no holds barred track from the Lambeth four-piece. Engineered with that Libertines-like effortless nature, Chilli and co rattle their way through another anthem-in-the-making track that has sure given the hype for their second album another added boost. "Everybody knows just who I am" are the words you'll without doubt be shouting after you've given the 2 minutes and 40 seconds of 'English Tongue' a go. It's a beautiful mess, from the word go there's so much going on, but it all manages to fit together in perfect harmony. It's got the sound of a rusty old cargo train speeding it's way across an in similar condition track, but it just sounds so good. I don't think Palma Violets can put a foot wrong at the moment, my only wish would be that they'd of made this track a little longer. But hey-ho, it's an absolute cracker, so just enjoy it.
