We caught up with Stroud based quartet Dollhouse this week. Inspired by the likes of Suede and New Order, the four-piece have so far unveiled five tracks via Soundcloud. Described by themselves as 'dream pop', Dollhouse's sound is something that's certainly going down a hit. Here's what they had to say.
1. Who are Dollhouse?
Dollhouse are a band from around Bristol, consisting of Will, Nick, Tom and Zak.
2. Who are your biggest musical inspirations?
NEU!, New Order, Suede, The Fall, Massive Attack, Flyying Colours, Andrew Weatherall, Lee Mavers and Piet Mondrian.
3. How would you describe your sound?
Bloody brilliant.
4. Where do you see yourselves in five years time?
Our five year plan is the gradual take-over of British pop music. We'd also like to get signed to a record label.
5. What's next for Dollhouse?
We are going to be playing lots of gigs during the summer, possibly in and around London, but also in Bristol; anywhere that will have us really. We are also in the process of recording a 5-song EP.
6. Where can hear more from/about you?
