This week we caught up with Lighthouse, an indie four piece from Essex who are making their mark on the vibrant North London music scene. Their triumphant first release, ‘Don’t Worry About Me’ combines inspiration from Britpop anthemia with grass roots punk, giving an insight into the band’s motives and paving the way for whatever follows…
1. Who are Lighthouse?
We're a 4 piece indie rock band from East London formed in September 2014.
2. What made you want to start a band?
We're all passionate about music and wanted to share our songs with people! And love playing live!
3. What inspires you to make music?
We all love listening to music and listen to most genres of music, which helps us write our own songs.
4. Tell us a bit about your recent show supporting The Rifles?
Well it was a great night! We played before Steve Diggle from the Buzzcocks and then obviously the Rifles. They were great guys! It was a crazy experience playing at the electric ballroom and hopefully we'll get the chance to play places like that again!
5. Where do you see yourselves in a year’s time?
Doing the festival circuit and hopefully getting our music out to more people! A tour would be nice as well.
