Spector unveiled euphoric new single 'Stay High' this week, ahead of the bands forthcoming second album 'Moth Boys', out August 21st.
With what looks set to be the final peek at what the band have been working on for so long, 'Stay High' leaves you feeling a little moreish. It's a brilliant, belter of a track, combining the more mature sounds of previous new singles 'All The Sad Young Men' and 'Bad Boyfriend' with the riotous racket of their debut, 'Enjoy It While It Lasts'. Singing about what appears be a bit of a give and take relationship, Fred Macpherson maintains the theme of adolescent, mid-20's life and its hardships in Stay High. Stay High is up there with one of the best Spector tracks, and for a band that hasn't made a bad one yet, that's some feat. Expect more and more of this calibre when the four piece finally drop the highly anticipated Moth Boys next month, and be even more prepared for the best live show you'll ever witness as they tour the UK this autumn.
