'Mountain At My Gates', the new release from Foals was unveiled as Annie Mac's 'Hottest Record In The World' on Monday night. The new track echoes 'Antidotes', with a hint of their new-found animalistic prowess in a superb contrast of past and present.
Opening with a soft, strutting guitar, 'Mountain At My Gates' develops into a track full of pizazz and style, as Foals show off their ever flourishing talent. Closing with a 'What Went Down' like Yannis Philippakis vocal rampage, the tone and beat rapidly evolves from something that was once smooth, indie listening to a euphoric like, super volcanic eruption. It's a good time for Foals at the minute, which only looks set to get better come the 28th August with the release of their third studio album, 'What Went Down'. They're now really starting to prove their worth, as they begin to reach a once only dream-able peak.
