1. Who are The Subways?

We are a three piece rock band who like to have an awesome time on stage!

2. For those who are yet to listen to yourselves, how would you describe your sound?

A mix of rock and pop taking in all our favourite artists and bands... everything from Smashing Pumpkins, to Motown to Kylie Minogue.

3. You released your self titled fourth album back in February, how has the response been?

It's been awesome so far - we've played a huge 10 week tour across Europe and are well into a summer of festivals every weekend. Our fans know all the words to the new songs, which is so cool to experience from the stage.

4. Where's your favourite place to play?

We have a lot of love for so many countries! I think we mainly just feel lucky we get to play in so many places across the world.

5. Where do you see yourselves in five years time?

The near future for us is finishing off the festival season in style and then starting to think about the 5th album. Hopefully a few more shows in there too!

6. What do you enjoy most about being in a band?

I love being on stage - there really is no feeling like it. It's such a huge high to see the reaction from the audience.

7. Who are The Subways' biggest influences and inspirations?

It's a big mix! We grew up in the Brit Pop era so bands like Blur and Oasis will naturally have a huge impact on us. We listened to Nirvana a lot when we first started the band. Billy is a huge fan of Motown music, Josh loves bands like The Hives and Smashing Pumpkins and I love female pop, like Kylie Minogue.

8. Do you have a most memorable moment from your time together so far?

It's always incredible when we play in a country or city for the first time - some of my greatest memories are from the exhilaration we feel walking on stage in a new place. When we first played in Moscow, the roar from the crowd was amazing.

9. What's next for The Subways?

We're just about to go on stage in Austria for a super cool festival called Picture On.

10. Where can we hear/find out more from you?

Check out www.thesubways.net and all our social media platforms - we run them ourselves, so you can ask us anything you like!
