'FAKE ID', the explosive new single from Chelmsford based indie hip/hop mixer RAT BOY was finally unveiled last week.
Following on from the "Young, dumb, living off Mum" era of debut track 'Sign On', RAT BOY has kept up the trend of modern day teenage hardships with his bountiful, and full of beans new track 'FAKE ID'. 'I haven't got the money, this ain't funny' and 'It's not a fake ID, it's just not mine" are set to become the new turn of phrase for Jordan Cardy's ever establishing fan base following the release of his new single. It's an explorative 3 minutes and 13 seconds of music, contrasting his spoken word hip/hop style views of modern day teenage life with his always impressive mixing skills in a stunning amalgamation. The track opens with a catchy beat, that remains an ever-present feature throughout, regurgitating itself as it goes on. Shading the doom and gloom of life in a lighter tone has become a prominent feature in RAT BOY's success, and FAKE ID is only going to back this case up more. As said before, it's a track full of beans. It's upbeat, lively and certainly a pleaser.
Cardy is all set to support the 1975 on their forthcoming UK tour in the winter, so if you've any chance of catching the 'Essex Boi' on his own, we strongly advise you do so, as he is going to blow in the coming months.
