Who are KIINGS?
We are an alternative/pop band from the North West of the UK! We came together after a night out, me & Tom (Lead Vocals) had a drunken discussion and we soon got everyone else involved & started to create our own material.
How would you describe your sound?
That's a tricky one. We have loads of different influences & each bring something different to the table. It's a mix of electronic dance vibes with a splash of indie pop.
You've already had airplay from Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, how does it feel to hear your music on the radio?
It was a great feeling! Knowing something we've worked so hard on is appreciated by others is a great feeling & knowing people are enjoying what we are doing is amazing! Our EP is currently at number 7 in the Alternative iTunes chart so hopefully we'll be able to push even higher with everyone's help.
What's the aim?
We have been busy writing & rehearsing and are finally ready to get out there! We've got a few gigs booked for the rest of the year but the aim is to be on as many festivals next year as possible!
You supported Rae Morris recently, how was that?
It was a great experience for us. It was only our 3rd gig as a band & the response and feedback we had after we played the show was amazing. We gained a lot from it.
Where do you see yourselves in five years time?
We plan to be doing some big shows by then! Playing some big venues & still creating great music.
What's next for KIINGS?
We've got a string of UK dates coming up & then we'll head back into the studio for a couple of weeks to finish off a few more tracks.
Where can we find out/hear more from you?
Our EP is available now on iTunes for £2.49! KIINGS II - EP, you'll be able to find it.
