Who are The Slumdogs?
We're a 4 piece Indie act from Blackpool, England (unfortanutely!) Consisting of Bobby Glaister, Cam Redfern, Will Easton, and Elliot Gaspar.
How would you describe your sound?
It's difficult, we take inspirations from so many different artists and everybody in the band is into a different thing, which morphs into one when writing a song. We try and make it as energetic as possible, and just generally feel good indie music!
Who are your biggest inspirations and influences?
We're all big fans of the big naughties indie era, where all the bands like The Hoosiers, Arctics, and Franz Ferdinand came about. I don't think anything that's out now in the genre gets near it. Also The Fratellis, we try to emulate the energy that they got when writing a tune.
What's the aim?
Gig anywhere and everywhere we can and build a fanbase, and playing at Leeds festival would be massive for us! There's no point aiming small really.
What's next for The Slumdogs?
We're on the road a lot for the rest of this year, gigging in new places. And in between gigs we will be recording and releasing as much music as we can, gradually building our fanbase.
Where can we find out / hear more from you?
Get us on all the social media, everyone's on it these days! And hopefully you'll be able to hear us live somewhere near you soon.
