Upcoming Grimsby based indie rock band ‘Mustang’ are in the midst of releasing their first single, ‘Paralysed’. I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing these lovely boys and got a sneak peek at the new single which I can confirm is a gem.

As the modernistic four-piece take their first steps into the music industry, you wouldn’t have guessed they’re only beginners. Paralysed starts out with delicate vocals from lead singer Andrew Thompson, the track introduces a fresh take upon current indie rock bands presently in the music industry. The four-piece ensure they each get noticed throughout the single and the compilation of Andrew’s vocals alongside Owen Peart on Bass, Fraser Macdonald on lead guitar and Rob Brealey on drums, they’ve managed to conjure up something quite special. The tracks misleading soft sounding beginning quickly transforms into a stronger rage incorporating style that is reflected in many other successful indie rock acts. Despite these boys disclosing that they ‘haven’t yet found their sound’, they experiment openly with slow and fast paced echoes displaying fully the range of sound they can condense into 3 minutes. This track is undoubtedly polished and for a first single, it can only add to the excitement of what is yet to come for Mustang.

Regardless of the fact that this band are only small at the moment, they’re quickly making a name for themselves and after the recent success at the Yardbird’s gig, their fan base will surely be expanding. The release of Paralysed is the beginning of big things for these guys and I ensure you they won’t go unrecognised.

I urge you to check out the new single upon its release, follow them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for updates. Don’t miss out.
